WebTrader Release Notes
The enhancements
and modifications below are in release 2.2 of IB WebTrader.
The Reuters News subscription service can now be used in WebTrader. Subscribe to Reuters News by logging into Account Management and using the Market Data Subscriptions page.
Once you've subscribed, you can view news stories from any of your WebTrader pages by adding the Reuters News feature. To add this module, click [Customize This Page], check Reuters News and click Save. The news feature will automatically get the most recent stories for all contracts on the active page. You can view news for additional contracts by clicking [Edit Reuters News] at the top of the module, and adding a contract(s).
The news module has three sections:
- Top Stories lists the latest available title(s) for each contract, with the most recent headline at the top of the list. Top Stories reload every minute.
- The History section lists all titles over the defined time range for the contract you select in the Top Stories area. Note that when you first open a page with Reuters News included, the displayed History list is always related to the most recent top story. You can set a time range from 1-4 weeks using the [Edit Reuters News] box.
- Article Details displays the full article for the selected Top Stories or History section headline.
